Does anyone know what is the exact date of flu season?

Do we give influenza vaccine during the month of April?

You usually give the flu vaccine in late Sept or early October. The flu season varies a little each year. Usually we start to see a few cases in late October, and by mid to late November it is in full swing. Usually by March it is starting to wind down. Than being said, 2 years ago we had very little flu in the ED that I work in until about February, and it lasted until mid April. This last year we were getting some in November, and it just trickled in until March and then it seemed to die away. So it varies quite a bit from year to year.

So do you give flu vaccine on April?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that high-risk patients will get the flu vaccine even in April. Obviously, though, you would ideally like to give it earlier.
