exam in jan need advice

Hey Everyone

Need advice for last two month.kind of confused

did uworld with second read of kaplan & FA uworld scored 60% (subject wised, unused,timed) took 2 months
i guess 60 is not so good
why i was getting Qs wrong in uworld was FA.i did not do FA well.
was forgetting memorizing facts.
ex -which virus is nonenveloped ss +rna ....man 😱
so last two months what shld i do?
my plan -

5-6 days revise FA then do Usmlerx qmax in 20 days with FA, then do uworld again in 20 days final revision FA give exam 25th Jan.ofcourse with atleast 3 nbme occasionally
reason of choosing usmlerx i guess i want to have command on FA.
but wat i m scared is that i m tired of studying already and what i have planned is too much....scared of a burn out 😡 but need a good score
so usmlerx good choice? or any other option
help guys pls any help or encouragement pls

Be positive, take breaks while studying and never let yourself be disheartened at any cost. It's good to see that you know what you should be doing. You have made FA central to your plans now. See if anyone suggests modifying it in any way to make it better. If not, stick to it. You have two months still. Good luck!

People seem to agree that DIT is a great tool. You may want to use it, but I understand it's not cheap.

How strong is your path ? if u feel that your lacking , spend the money on pathoma .. its only 100$ but man is it worth it .

thanks for advice.yes my patho was not good on uworld it reaaly lacked as compared to other subjects. i checked out the website.i think 35 hours video will be painless and managable.but i dont have time to read 218 pages of book.his videos r enough or book is a must ?

The book is easy to read , it's in outline form and full of color pics and histo slides ... you can read the whole book in a day . i'm not a text book person and his book is the only book i have read for path . my avg in path in UWORLD is in the upper 80% ... the way i do it is by reading the chapter before watching the vid for that section , then watch the vids for that chapter take a break then hit up some UWORLD Q .... You can do a chapter or 2 a day easy since you already have a good solid base . 👍

thanks for your awesome advice .i saw the trial video,really liked it so i bought pathoma instantly .coz it will take a week for them to send me the book to my country.
well could u pls advise me further my exam on 25 jan .Jan i will redo uworld with FA and nbme. december i will do FA + pathoma +2 nbmes +shld i buy another qbank(will finish in 15days) for december.
kaplan qbank i have done but long time ago
so shld i buy usmlerx or kaplan qbank or just do pathoma 2 times ?
problem with usmlerx is Qs are very easy so confused

maybe im missing something but im currently doing USMLERx and UWorld... I dont think USMLERx Qs are that much easier.. I have an avg in world of 70% and 68% in rx.... and im using RX as subject tests AFTER i've just studied the material and world as random, timed tests...

okay then i think i got facts wrong.i guess then i shld do usmle rx and find out.

most people have said that rx is easier on these forums but i just dont see it. rx is good for efficient studying because it points you to sections in FA in the explanations so you dont have to flip to the index of FA (which sucks, btw) to find what you're looking for.

UWorld is just solid.

Kaplan is nuanced.

I take my exam the week before you do , What country are you from ? ... MY advice is to take NBME 7 by the end of this month , work on the weak subjects that that graph tell's you your weak on .. Take NBME 12 before the end of the year and leave form 11 for the week before taking the exam .. Your last month should be Uworld+ 1st aid and make sure you go over all the little facts you have to memorize last week before the exam so its fresh in your head .

yes i thought the same way for taking nbmes, except that i will take first nbme first week of december. want to give 1st nbme when i feel bit prepared coz if i dont get good score in it i will shoot myself 😎

i'm from jordan but i went to a school in the carib islands and did my undergrad in the US .. i'm doing kaplan in random , and UWORLD in subject form ... Thanks , good luck to u too
