ever had classes where you had your midterms or finals on the same day? how is it like? is it too hard? how did you not mix the material? how did u study for both?? 🙁

Study in advance. Think about all the weeks that you have between exams. IMHO, one should be able to take the day before an exam off to go to the movies, take an attractive person out, or play video games.

Yeah of course, it definatly sucks though, learn how to prioritize. You're not going to study as hard for the class that you're doing really well at vs the class that you're not. So it might take you 2 hrs to study for chem final in which you're getting a 95% vs calc, which might take you 10 hrs to prepare in which you're getting 85%.

yea try to study in advance and then pull two back to back all-nighters... 🙁

Last semester, I had all my exams on the same day...I had exams from 8 in the morning until sometime that evening and only a half hour in between each one....It wasnt fun but at least they were over fast

Learn to prioritize now, cause the first few module exams in med school are 4 to 3 subjects on the same day.

Yes. I had my prelim 3 (aka midterm) in my psych class the same time as my final for that class. I did really really well on my final, and did really really poorly on prelim 3. Thankfully, i was able to convince my prof. that because i was taking the two test at the same time, i was having trouble going from the final back to the prelim, so he didn't count my 3rd prelim as much 😳

last fall, i had 3 test within 24.5 hours. i was 30 minutes from getting to do a make-up exam for one of them. but at least i was done early, so i had 6 weeks for winter break as opposed to only 5.

Spring of sophomore year (ohhh so long ago now) I had my psych-stats class monday morning, CalcII Monday afternoon, Cell/Molec Tuesday morning and orgoII Tuesday afternoon. By Tuesday afternoon I was spent, but hey, it was summer, so all I could do was smile!

As for advice... just study your butt off. Try to think of what is more important, and what you already know. Don't study what you already know cause that only wastes time. I know it sounds obvious, but I tend to look over what I already know because it makes me feel better - that I know something. Space it out too. If you know this far in advance that your finals are all on the same day, that gives you plenty of time to prep for that (both academically and mentally... its a struggle both ways)

Hope that helps some

are you a freshman? its uber common for ppl to have more than 1 in a day. i had to take neurobio and biomechanics one time back to back, and it sucked. but u suck it up and deal 😛.

all my upper division sciences are on same day for the rest of the semester yay 😀 you can only hope the teacher will get behind and move it

just get used to it... study ahead of time and be disciplined. if you don't like it now, you really won't like it med school; here, the exams (which cover material in quantity similar to an undergrad midterm) are always back to back on a 4hour block, and they occur almost on a bi-weekly basis. also consider taking a day off to study if you need it (i've noticed that a lot of people in my class tend to skip the day before our exams, probably to study all day).

this isn't meant to be an attack on Abe or anyone else, but the notion of hoping that the professors will "get behind and move it" is possibly one of the worst things you can do as a pre-med. i saw it happen in undergrad too, lots of people moan and complain and beg to have the exam/paper moved just because they had 2 more on the same day... believe it or not, in med school, the exam dates are published practically a year in advance and is set in stone (basically, you can't get out of it unless you're on your death bed). my advice: don't let it get to be a habit, because then you may really struggle with it in the future.

do you think the profs have the exams on the same day on purpose? theyre EVIL!!!! out of all the days, why the SAME day?

also, if you have an exam on the same day as something else, don't you get confused? like during the test, "blah blah... wait, that's another class *switch brain to other class*"
