Just found this forum today. I think it's excellent. Thanks guys! I'm finishing up my third year at the moment at GWU and had the opportunity to do a short rotation with a local physiatrist ... loved it! So, I have two months scheduled for the fall, one here at NRH and another at RIC. Any advice on the application process? (Yes, I know ... such a general question ... but any thoughts would be appreciated. Haven't had the opportunity to check for a similar thread). Thanks!

Just the typical advice;

Do well on your rotations, try hard, get a couple of good letters out of it. PM&R is a smallish field, so a lot of the 'names' know each other, and a good recommendation can take you a long way.

When sending out applications, apply to a lot of programs, polish that personal statement.

Interview prep; find out stuff about the program from their individual website, swing by here to the 'Stories from the Interview Trail' sticky; myself, Axm, and Vlad filled it with our interview feedback from last year. Good for when you get asked the dreaded "So, do you have any questions I can help you with?" and you don't just stare at them.

Finally, enjoy 4th year! :laugh:
