Exchange Student Senior Year

I'm thinking of going to Germany for a year as an exchange student. Next year I'll be a senior so I'm wondering if I'm able to do this. Will I still be able to apply to US colleges and take the SAT and all of that?

You should still be able to do all of that but here is a question for you. Why your senior year? It will be pretty stressful because all applications, essays, recommendations need to be in. If your abroad, it will be hard to get intouch with your college office and make sure all things are getting sent out.

While i am not advising you not to go, i would suggest staying your senior year, getting into college, then browsing for study abroad options for a semester or two when your IN college. Almost all colleges (if im not mistaken) offer some types of study abroad programs which you will be able to participate in.

I was thinking about it now because I met a German exchange student and want to go back with him when he leaves.
