Exodontist?

Hello all,

I was looking through job posting and saw one for “exodontist.”

Anyone has any experience working as one or any information as to what it’s really like? Are they looking for general dentist exodontist as opposed to oral surgeon to save money? Why would anyone want to work as an exodontist? Thanks

At the Corp I work at .... there is an "Exodontist". I had never heard of that title. I was told that he was not an OMFS, but he had a sedation background and he was responsible for extracting teeth with or without sedation.

It’s a military specific specialty that requires a one year ACP
