On FA 2015 p.124 (in 2014 FA its p.126) there is this chart with the different exotoxins.
For some of the toxins there is a superscript a next to them and then on the bottom of the chart it states that the a means that the "toxin is an ADP ribosylating A-B toxin". Could someone please explain what that means?- like is that describing their mode of action?

thanks in advance!

The bottom of the chart has a pretty good explanation. The B binds to a cell receptor allowing endocytosis. The A adds an ADP ribose on to whatever protein and inhibits it. The mechanism column basically tells you which protein is getting ribosylated and therefor inhibited.
