can some residents/med students write about your lives in med school and during residency...do you burn out easily in the process? are you able to have a social life at all or see your family? if you are a woman, have you been pregnant during residency and how hard is that? how do you get throught the 3+ yrs of residency?...do you just automatically adjust to the lifestyle?

thanks for your time 🙂

Welcome!

Lots of reading, I know. 🙂

The thread about regrets was closed so I will post here. You should really only ask people whom have been practicing medicine for many years if they would do it again. During medical school and residency the sacrifice far outweighs the benefits and many will be disgruntled at these points.

However, I am a sick intern in the middle of a 30 hour shift having my first "break" in 15 hours (I didn't pee for 14 hours today) and I would absolutely do it again.

haha..thanks...that really helped 🙂
