I did something important in college and I listed it as part of the experiences section. There's an article about what I did in the school newspaper. Should I put a link to the article in the application, or nah?

I was featured in a few news papers after the recent travel ban, and a professor on the admissions committee at my school told me not to mention it so it doesn't sound like I'm trying to show off, and that they will see it when they google my name. So, if it can be found using a google search of your name, I'm sure they'll see it themselves.

Have it under experiences, dont include the link cuz thats cheesy but explain what you did and if you want to, just say it was highly publicized and they can look you up if they want.

During interviews, I have seen most interviewers to be holding printed copies of my application. A link won't do much good on paper and let's be honest, who actually takes the time to type in a link, letter by letter?
