Took the test yesterday. I keep hearing about these experimental questions and how they don't count for the exam. If you get them right, do they get added to your score as a bonus?

No one knows the answer. STEP 1 grading is a tightly kept state secret. Maybe try to sleep with someone in the upper echelons of the NBME? They'd probably have to kill you afterwards, though.

Not sure where the "50 experimental Qs" myth comes from but this has never been confirmed or stated by nbme. There are certainly questions that are thrown out during the wait period for score release but i thik the experimental thing is largely an urban myth that has been propagated by experimental questions in uworld and kaplan qbank.

I think it's supposed to be like Cash Cab. You can walk away with your score or you can risk everything and go for the extra round
