1. Once I submit my ADEA AADSAS application, will all of the schools automatically send me a supplemental application, or do dental schools only send supplemental applications to the students they really like and plan to interview?

2. Do all schools have supplemental applications?

3. How is the supplemental application "sent"? Does it appear on AADAS, or is it emailed to you?

4. Do the supplemental applications have a "due date," or do you just complete them as quickly as possible?

Thank you!

1. I believe it depends on the school. Some schools will send supplementals to everybody and some will only send supplementals to candidates that pass a certain benchmark.

2. I believe all do. (check me on that)

3. Each school has individual instructions on their website or accompanied with the supplemental app email. Most you just send directly to the school.

4. ASAP. More likely to be considered for the earlier interviews. That being said take your time and do them well. Some schools value supplementals a whole lot.

1. Could be one or another
2. Some school require you to pay just the fee for sup app while other requires sup app + fee.
3. It usually emailed to you.
4. Both.

1- you need to select all schools you are applying to on the Programs section of the app. Then open each school and if they questions you will see them and can answer them online.

2 - not all schools but most if not all will. If you dont see questions on their program I would double check in the school's website.

3- per above they should be under Programs once you select the schools there

4- some have a due date - most state it under Programs but I would check their website

Nearly all have a supplemental fee you have to pay through the school's website. Some send you a "bill".

Not all schools have supplementals but most do. For example, UoP and UConn do not have supplementals. However, make sure you check the school's website because they may be on there.

Also be aware that some only want you to send in a supplemental application fee once you are contacted, while others want it immediately after submitting your AADSAS application.

Everyone here is accurate. Some schools have a 16 page secondary and some have none. Every school has a "processing fee" or something along those lines. AADSAS should have a link that displays each school's secondary procedures. What schools are you applying to?

Thanks everyone. I am applying to MWU-AZ, NSU, VCU, Dugoni, Roseman, Louisville, Maryland.

Use the "Home" tab for each school in the program materials section... It typically explains if there's a secondary, how you should find it, how much you need to pay, and how. For example U of M says "While we do not require a secondary application, our mandatory $75 application fee is payable on our website." whereas Penn says "This supplemental application (includes additional questions and essay topics) should be downloaded from the Penn Dental Medicine website" and the $60 fee should be sent by check.

So it really depends on the school and it's up to you to check the websites and keep track of it all.
