2 Quick questions:

Is there anywhere on the AADSAS application where we need to fill out the exact number of shadowing hours we have performed?

Do we need to have the number of hours we shadowed in the letter we get from the dentist?

My situation: I've been shadowing since 2009 but I may not have even hit the 100 hour mark. Is it better for my letter (from my dentist) to state that I have been shadowing for the past 3 years or do I need to have a total hours count?

Thanks

Yes. You should have an actual number of hours. There's a spot to enter your hours of shadowing. For each entry, you need to know the name of who you shadowed, type of dentistry, total hours, ending and start dates.

Including it in the letter is a bonus as well, especially if you apply to a school that requires a minimum number of shadowing hours and who ask for it to be included in the letter.

Awesome! Thanks a lot. 100+ hours seems to be good.
