Externships Question

I’m sure this question has been asked before, but when do students typically find time to do externships? Are they done during the semester or over breaks?

Usually over breaks, I don't think most schools will let you just take 1-2 weeks off during the middle of a semester. Varies from school to school.

Some schools provide time off for externships (usually between 3-4 year). For most, you have to use breaks... Along with that, some schools provide bigger breaks than others.

Some schools allow students to be excused from clinic. But for most of us, we use spring and summer breaks.
