Hey everbody,
I was just wondering how many extra curriculur activities I should have. I have around a 3.7 science gpa, and a MCAT score of 28. I have worked in a research lab since high school, have volunteered at a local hospital, have done some volunteer work in a foreign country, and have done other various volunteer projects in my community. Would this be competive enough to get into a medical college? I appreciate the replies.

There is not a specific #. Just do as much as possible if you want the best chances.

Having more is better. However it is also better to be heavily involved in a few than slightly involved in a lot.

Have exactly 15.

They only have 15 spots for activities on the AMCAS😛

You know, I'm mostly joking, but in some ways it kinda makes sense😛

The number of activities doesn't matter so much as the quality of the activities. It seems like you've got your bases pretty well covered, maybe a tutoring/teaching activity would round things out a bit.

Depends on what kind of research you've been doing since highschool? Whats your overall GPA?
