Are we allowed to send in extra LORs? I have already submitted my CAS application several weeks ago, but I was going to submit a letter from my attending who I worked with an entire month during an away rotation to that particular program.
However, I was wondering if it is worth it to send the letter to other programs or is it looked down upon? I know some programs won't accept any additional materials at all. The reason I am asking is because my original 3 letters I turned in are as follows: 1. Ophtho-well-known, great letter 2. Internal Med-great letter 3. Ophtho-super "big wig" ..good letter but I don't know if it will be great since I don't know him as well as the other two obviously.
So, I am wondering if an extra letter from my away rotation will hurt or help me or if I should just turn it in to the program I did the away rotation on. My attending is just starting out her career (past few years) so she's not AS well known yet but I worked with her pretty closely this past month..
Please let me know what you think!
