Is it fair game for reactions like Ruff Degradation, peptide coupling, substitutions on heterocycles, etc. to show up? I haven't seen them in any practice, but i was wondering if it would be worth a review?

I could see peptide bonds coming up, but I highly doubt heterocyclic substitutions would show up. I also don't think that any CHO rxns would show up, but I could definitely be wrong. To me, the extent of CHOs looks like it focuses on stereochemistry and maybe some pyranose stuff. The ruff degradation is pretty advanced, and I think that the DAT really just skims the surface of the advanced mechanisms rather than diving too deep!! Doesn't hurt to practice them though, they're not too tedious of a subject.
