I know that there are at least a couple of you out there that have an interview coming up at Finch/CMS so I thought I would share my experience and what I saw others there experience, there were about 15 of us there that day.

I won't repeat whats been said about the interview already on these boards, look for Doctor Foxy's comments on that, can't seem to find them right now. Btw, thanks Foxy, your comments were right on.

First off, its really laid back. Most questions were off the AMCAS and the extra set of personal comments that were optional with the secondary. Be wary of the Pathologist, his office is very noisy and his questions were barely audible. Also, make sure that you are up to date on current events as some interviewees were asked their opinions on stuff like the Isreali/Palastine situation. Many interviewees were clueless. This may seem dumb, but many interviewees were asked who Herman Finch is. Some interviewees did not know. You can find out by reading the catalog on their website. Other than that, be prepared for "Why Finch?" questions. The interviewers liked the many questions I had for them, so make sure to come up with some good ones. The student interview was awesome, but some interviewees had short ones with their student. Don't be detered by that though.

The class has about 144 acceptances out there for an estimated class of 185. Sounds good but they will likely give up to 40 spots to students in their Masters in Applied Physiology so there are not as many seats as they will let you believe, but there is still a good chance for an acceptance however since there is a lot of movement on their "deferred" list. They are interviewing until late June as well, which tells me they expect seats to be available late in the process. Hope this helps.
