I am trying to complete the extracirrciular/ volunteering/ community service sections. For one of my activities, I am listing a club. I have been part of the club for the past three years (intern first year, secretary the second and third year) and now I am going to be president. My problem is: should I split each position as a separate activity to help fill all 10 spots or combine everything into one position and leave two spots empty

I think I would only split them up if the activities were different or show a clear progression of responsibility. They don't give you much room to write about what you did, but if your description of the positions were substantively different it might look good. You should look like you have a lot going on in the positions, not that you are trying to fill up space.
