If I am going to do more extracurriculars... i.e more shadowing, working, etc. Would I contact the school, if they do not have a place on the secondaries that allow me to list things that I did after I submitted the primary application?

I believe that you could do it as an update type letter that you send to the schools post secondary. There are some schools that won't download updates to applications after the initial download, other than for repeat MCATs, so it might be something you would have to do anyway. Good Luck.

Where did you get this information?

All the secondaries I took last year had a section for EC's, work hx, etc. I essentially had to reiterate everything I had in my primary (which begs the question, what is the point of putting all this info on a primary anyway...?)

I remember reading it previously, or something to that affect. I couldn't find it after 30 seconds of searching though. I think the problem has more to do with an ADCOM updating you application after they have already reviewed the initial primary, but haven't done a second look yet. Like if your app was placed in the "maybe" pile, but not the "interview" or "rejection" groups. I would imagine that if you sent an update letter they would look it over and apply it to your app, at which point they may look over the whole thing and possible place one into the "interview" group. Obviously this is all speculation and each school probably handles this process a little differently.
