Am I doing too many extracurriculars? I wanted to know because I don't want med. schools to feel I am not focusing all my attention to a few good things rather a lot of activities, and thus not being passionate enough. I might just be panicking as always...
I am a Junior now.
I was a member of Premed./Predent. Club for my freshman year.
I have been Vice President for most of the my three years of a child mentoring club.
I shadowed a DO Oncologist 40 hours.
I volunteered 30 hours at RWJ, but I am starting up again this Friday to add more hours weekly.
I was Residential Hall Association Treasurer for two school apartment complexes, over 4,000 students.(Sophomore year)
I am a registered AMSA member.
I did research on animal reproduction one semester for a credit.
I am doing research on aspartame and its effects on rats, by working with a histotech. to make them and I will read them soon.
Over the summer I worked at a medical lab, mainly dealt with insurance.
I am going to be medical coordinator of Rutgers GMB which funds med. relief trips to other countries.
I am founder and President of CARE, an organization which will provide med. help to our New Brunswick community and possibly other communities.
I am currently joining my new apartment board, will hopefully be judiciary chair or philanthropy chair.
I am starting to volunteer at hospice this Saturday.
I don't what else I will do, but I am always looking.
I just want to know if this looks bad, and is it overwhelming? Also what else should I do?
Thank You everyone!
