its just starting to dawn on me (probably because i read these forums so much) that i don't have much to offer in terms of work experience/extracurriculars.

i have 2 big volunteer projects i do every year + big buddy and 100 hours of shadowing a GP and tennis league. then i have 3 years of work experience for a big company. but that's it. it seems like people on here have so much stuff, in terms of research and clinical experience. should i be thinking about picking some more activities up in the next month (when i apply)?

You can if you wish but when you list it in your application you will have to indicate how many hours you spent doing the new activity and since you just picked it up, it will be a small amount. Basically, at this stage, there really isn't much of a "deciding factor" you can pick up in one month.
