Hey!

So I am writing my OAT August 27th...I have a decent handle on all the subjects...but for some reason am REALLY REALLY struggling with the Quantitative reasoning from the kaplan course. The Subject tests and workshops online are SO confusing to me for some reason. And I can hardly even do some of the questions.

I have the Destroyer and the quantitative reasoning in that does not seem too bad..nothing like the kaplan course difficulty..

I was wondering what anybody's opinions were about these tests? Is this what the actual OAT Quant reasoning questions are like?? I might have to postpone my test if it is because Im finding this really tough!

Still lots of time, if thats your only problem.

Have you looked at the opted sample test, should do the trick and tell you where your at.

take some SAT math section tests for basic review, and take the opted test as well. the level is a bit higher than the SAT, but its the same general ideas and concepts. if you can do that, you should be fine...just learn to work quickly

If you can score every 3 out of 4 questions, you still can get a 370. Use this to your advantage!

yeah initially i had a lot of trouble with QR too. I would honestly just recommend doing the Kaplan quizes and workshops cause i didn't feel like the real OAT questions were that much easier than the Kaplan questions. If you just shovel through and try to understand how each question is done, you should be good

Honestly, I feel like the actual test was easier than the Kaplan book. I felt like some of the geometry problems were a bit challenging in the Kaplan book but there wasnt much of that in my version of the actual oats. The problems in the actual test, like that posted above, is much like SAT math.

Im not having trouble with QR anymore since I went through the GMAT/GRE math book..Im scoring around 320/330 on the kaplan tests so I hope Ill be fine for the real test!

Also remember all the problems are worth the same points. So if one looks difficult, or like it will take some time, mark it, if you can make some sort of educated guess pick it, and return to it later.
