How much do we have to know about these sensory organs?
I mean how much detail is enough? Is it even on our test?

I am only becoming familiar with the funcitons of them and what composes them. I think that should be enough. I truly can not imagine being asked detail questions on stuff like that. Not enough time in the day to study it all.

I made a post a while back when I was studying on this exact point if you want to search for it but the consensus was just know basic details

eyes and ears maybe (and just the basics)... but nose? i know/knew nothing on the nose 😀

well there is not much to know at our level for nose but you should know pathway of air

for the ears, know the functions of the things in the ear like of the ossicles, semicircular canals, eustachian tubes etc.

For the nose.... I made up a pretty decent way of remembering the pathway of air.

Nose -> Pharynx -> Larynx -> Trachea -> Bronchioles -> Bronchi -> Alveoli

Hope it helps for anyone..

...I am an idiot. I did mean eyes and ears. hahaha
Ok, got it thanks. So just go with the basics rather than memorizing every part of it? Does any book cover the basics well without going into detail?

I have examkrackers bio and princeton review hyperlearning biological sciences review that seems to do a great job of explaining without going too far into detail. I'm using those instead of shaums because I get overwhelmed with shaums haha.

What??
That is where I got my original eyes and ears, Princeton was deadly....so many parts in the ears. I ended up with about an entire page of the parts in the ear. Just searched through Shaums and I couldn't find anything about ears/eyes... 🙁
I will check out Examkrackers ears/eyes though, thanks.

Isn't it Bronchi then Bronchioles?

ONLY a page?! Man, and I thought a few pages was too much...Examkrackers is less detailed than Princeton Review, though.
