When a program says they need an eye exam, what kind of exam are they looking for exactly? Do we need to get these before we interview or will most programs do these for us when we actually get invited? For instance, it appears UT-San Antonio wants an eye exam before even being asked to interview.

Thanks everyone.

Some programs do require this. Most do not. The critical test is for stereopsis so make sure this is included. This should be done prior to the interview unless explicitly stated by the program that it will be done on interview day. A resident at your home program should help you with this easily. Good luck.
