FA 2005 vs FA 2997

FA 2005? Good but there are significant enough changes where I would spring for the 2007

FA 2007? That's the one you want. You don't want to look back after you get your score and wonder whether or not using the 2007 version would have netted you an extra 10 pts or not.

FA 2997? Might be a bit too advanced.

I thought 2005 was great and I see no reason that it would be outdated so soon.

The major difference is that 2005 is the last edition to be organized by subjects. 2007 is organized by systems.

I disagree with this as well. I used the 2005 FA and the only major difference was the organization by subject rather than system. If you have already started annotating into your 2005 FA like I did, then definitely stick with it, but if it hasn't really been used (and you really like the systems organization) then go ahead and upgrade to the 2007 FA.

First Aid 2997 has a ton of errors you should be aware of if you buy it.

A few examples:

On page 27 the text should read "Nanorotech synapse bypass is NOT indicated for acute cybernetic reflex syndrome"

On page 187 it should say "The bite of an Alpha Centuarani Sky Spider can be identified by a BLUE glowing wound" not green. Green is only seen with bites from the Sirius Kornax Beast.

On page 283 it lists Ziljian Insanity Spore vaccination being recommended three months prior to travel through the Forbidden Zone. The NEJM (New Earth Journal of Medicine) actually recommends a year now.

Glad I restrained myself from putting in my smart a$& comment. Yours were much funnier.
