Has anyone bought FA 2012 yet? I just saw it on Amazon. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/First-Aid-USMLE-Step-2012/dp/0071776362 . It seems there are twenty-eight extra pages in the 2012 edition compared to the 2010 edition which I will be using for my exams next year. I know there isn't too much of a difference between the 2010 and the 2011 editions but if anyone does know of any significant additions to the 2012 edition, would love to hear from you.

There was a recent thread about this. A member did point out that people taking the exam early 2012 should not buy the new edition because of their will be no error listed posted.

Did anyone manage to find differences of 2011 in regards to 2010? I guess there were no changes... and just what if there is none either? ^)

the only difference i saw was for the encapsulated bacteria...the acronym was different

there were plenty of changes between 2010 and 2011 ...things that were added and taken away.

my advise is don't be cheap and go buy the new version. if you get 1 point higher on step 1 it'll be worth it. step 1 prep is not the time to try and pinch pennies

oh, also ...FA is usually released a couple of weeks before they say it will be. FA 2011 arrived before i was about to leave for winter break last year ...so a few days before christmas. the release date they quoted was the same as the one quoted for FA 2012

There is a thread on here somewhere that pretty comprehensively chronicles the changes in FA from 2010->2011. Made by a guy named "mace" something. I'd link it here but I'm just too lazy to do the leg work from my phone.
