Do I think I would be okay getting the 2006 version of FA for 3$ as opposed to the 2009 version for 40$? Has anything changed dramatically?

considering its almost 2012, i would say stuff has changed.. i feel like management and treatment probably has changed over 6 yrs

My assessment is that you should be fine with the earlier version. The checklist of questions you need to ask for the stuff that's on the CS (abd pain, CP, HA, fatigue, etc...) shouldn't be vastly different. The treatment and lab tests aren't dissimilar, either. Medicine has changed a lot over the last 6 years, but for the stuff that you'll be tested on, it hasn't.

Can you provide specific examples? Your H&P will be the same as it would have been 6 years ago. Also, I highly doubt that you'll be asked to include in your DDx and orders things that were not available or in existence 6 years ago. This is not that elegant of an exam.
