I didn't look this up or anything but this is what I remember from biochemistry last year.

Fragile X doesn't mean you will always see the chromosomal breakage. The chromosomal breakage occurs if you grow the cells in a low folate environment, with little dTTP.

Also, what kind of abbreviation is a/w ?
