I know there is a thread below that touches on this, but I had a few specific questions about outpatient psych practice if someone can help:

For a patient who is new to you, what is the MINIMUM face to face time and appointment slot time that you could do an adaquate eva inl? What do you think would be an APPROPRIATE amount of face to face time/apt time for this first encounter. This patient might have been seen by a different psychiatrist, psychologist, etc. in your practice and you might have their notes. Also assume that billing doesn't matter.

To go along with this question, how much face-to-face time do you spend during an appointment time. What I mean is how much face-to-face time do you spend with a patient for a 30 min EST, etc.

Thanks!
