I have seen a few different schools of thought regarding radiologic eval of facial fxs. some folks ct everyone while others say that plain films do not miss significant fxs that require intervention. what method do you folks favor and why? thanks

Suspected nasal fractures I do not image. If there is a deformity, they can follow up w/ ENT prn

Suspected mandibular fractures can get either a panorex if available or a CT.

I do CT sagittal and coronal views for all other suspected facial bone injuries, esp orbits and suspected LeFortes.
