Hmm I like the perpetually stubbly look like McDreamy and House. Just on the borderline where people wonder whether they tend to it or not. A little on the neck but not so sloppy as to be called out on it

I let it go several days between shaves. I've got a pretty youthful appearance, and some five o'clock shadow might help me out a little. I've actually been surprised that at least 2-3 of my patients have said something to the effect of "the doctor's here right now" when it's just me there.

Can you all do the subtle tie tuck in to the dress shirt thing? I could see one of our patients thinking it's a good thing to erm...eat while you're leaning over to do TPRs. I'm a girl, but yet another reason I will forgo the lab coat and business dress when I'm in practice if at all possible.

Get used to it. I've had patients tell me they don't notice a difference in white coat length (they're all white coats to them). I'll also walk into 1 room, and the patient will say something about me being the doctor (and I'll correct them); and in the next room, someone will hang up their phone and say "Gotta go, my nurse is here."

Well, I do plan on getting used to it, since I plan to be a doctor at some point...
