I applied. I'm excited to hear back but I know they usually have a lot of people apply, so not holding my breath. Anyone know if they select based on where your top choices were at all?Thought they said they didn't take that into account, but I wasn't totally clear on that point.
My recollection is that the application process first selects for applicants (accepted vs. not) and then allocates location later. This approach does not take location preference into account for selecting applicants but does take it in to account for final placement.
I talked with them on the 21st. We should hear something by the 30th,actually, since the 31st is a Saturday. When I called the applications were still with the review committee, and she expected it to take the rest of the allotted time.
Either that or they will send them out tonight yet. I guess the person who is responsible for sending them out isn't in the office today. The person who answered the phone did assure me that we will have a decision tomorrow at the latest.
