Hi everyone! I am getting ready to fill out my first FAFSA in a long long time. Any great words of wisdom?

what do we do if we don't know which school we are going to--just list every school we're interviewing at?

Okay, please be patient with me, I have what might be a dumb question. Here it goes, what exactly does filling out a FAFSA do for us in pharmacy school? I filled mine out online a couple of weeks ago and it came back confirming what I had already assumed, being that once you are in pharmacy school you are considered professional/graduate level and are not eligible for federal financial aid. Is there something I'm missing or did I just do mine wrong? I've been lucky enough to not need financial aid for my pre-req's thanks to scholarships and my family, but with pharmacy school being considerably more expensive I guess I'm looking to aid/loans and I'm feeling left in the dark. Thanks for any clarity you can bestow upon me! 🙂

It's a formality. FAFSA has to be filled out in order to receive Stafford loans and such.

I fill out my FAFSA every year online. It retains all the info from the previous year, so you just enter your PIN and do a renewal FAFSA. I don't fill mine out until we have completed our tax return - usually late February or March. If you wait until then, you'll have a better idea where you are attending school.

My first graduate year, I received 18.5K in Stafford Loans, that went up to over 19K last year. It should probably be over 20K this year. I accept all the money, even though UF's computer says my financial need has been met by my husband. I'll easily be able to pay it back when I am working and I enjoy having nice things when I am in school.

I am going to fill it out online. I can't stand paper applications either. I am afraid that they will laugh and say that my estimated financial contribution is the whole tuition. 🙂 Not like I used my full-time salary to live , pay mortgage, etc. or anything. I am guessing that I will get more unsubsidized loans than anything. I also need to sit down and figure out how much I need to borrow for living expenses, etc. I have been putting that off. Getting in was worry enough, now I hope I can pay for it and not live off of PB & J again. thanks for the advice everyone!
