Hi all, long-time lurker, first time poster here. Was hoping someone could help me out with a financial aid question. I just got accepted via linkage, and additionally just got married (busy few weeks...). My question was in filling out the FAFSA and determining my award letter, to what extent do they expect you to drain your bank accounts (more specifically, my spouse's) to pay for school as opposed to taking out loans? It's not like we have a fortune, but with the wedding so recent we do have some funds to speak of. I know my award will be less due to her income, but I couldn't figure out the bank account part. Thanks in advance.

If it makes you feel better, just withdraw the money temporarily. I had the same problem where I get fin. aid and loans distributed to my bank account, only will be taken out to pay tuition 1 week later, so it's not like i'll have that money to spend.
