While on a waitlist, are you suppose to turn in a FAFSA to that school just in case? I thought there was a deadline of June 15th for it, so I was curious if I turn it in now or wait till if I get accepted? 😕

I would send it now, I think the general consensus is get it done ASAP! 🙂

i'm in your same position! i actually submitted my fafsa a couple weeks ago eventhough i'm just on the waitlist. I would fill it out just in case, it doesn't hurt you. Its free, and if you get in, you will have your loan money already available if you get this fall. waiting until you get accepted may result in an inconvenient delay in you getting your loan money on time. good luck!!

Yea, I was going to say the same thing...it wouldn't hurt.

Yep, send that sucker in. Doesn't cost you nothing.

See I had thought the same as all of you are saying but I called NYCOM's financial aid department and asked them what to do and they told me to wait.

Hmm...I sent in my FAFSA info to a MD school I am still waiting on. I would think that would make much more sense.

Yes, one of the MD schools I am WL'd at wanted it in by March regardless of your status, I sent mine in early April, before I found out I was on the WL. 😳

Hey Jezzielin...LECOM-Erie recommends you send it in as soon as possible...even if you are on the waitlist.

the financial aid lady at tucom also suggested to wait until you are accepted..but then again, she also kept mis-pronouncing fafsa as FASFA. 😀 anyways, it is to your personal advantage to file it because in the end, you are the one who's going to have to pay the tuition on time. 😳
