So I'm being pressured to fill out my FAFSA, but I can't because I don't know which school I want to attend. I have still to hear from schools, which will likely bethis month or April, but may even extend into May, which is when the FAFSA is due.

Should I wait until I've heard from them all and have finalized my school or do it early, add all 7 schools I'm seriously considering, and let whichever school takes me to actually use the FAFSA info (b/c they approve to the Govt that you are attending before the govt gives you $$).

Also, if I'm deferring, should I just hold on completing the FAFSA?

Yeah just put in the information of all the schools! It will get figured out!

Add all of the schools in the order of which you think you will get accepted. That's what i did for my undergrad application

List all the schools which you could possibly go to. If a school gets your information and doesn't need it, no problem, they just ignore it. If a school DOESN'T get your information and NEEDS it, you got problems buddy.

You should have filled out your FAFSA already. Get that thing done ASAP.

Agreed that there's really no dilemma here. Fill out every school's information. Schools gets tons of FAFSA info that I'm sure they never use.

The bigger issue is not having the FAFSA in before now. A lot of schools have deadlines for considering you for scholarships and grants. Those are coming and going right now. WVU for instance has a cut-off of March 1st for the majority of their scholarships. Further, a lot of schools have additional paperwork they want you to fill out. 3/4 of my schools wanted stuff in addition to the FAFSA.

Ditto to the above.

Fill it out for all schools you have any possibility of attending. Doing it will not hurt you, not doing it will.
