Failed NBDE 2

Hi,

I am a domestic student and I failed NBDE 2 once. Will this affect my chances for a specialty such as endo or perio? My gpa is high and I'm from a reputable school. Should add that I am doing a GPR first. Thanks.

I know somebody who failed her part II but still ended up in a peds residency (after GPR).

Do well in dental school, show that you are driven and a good clinician and you still have a decent chance.

I'm just curious why you mentioned you're a domestic student?

i dont see why it would affect you, those exams are just for licensing. The ADAT on the other hand you got to do well.

Because domestic students tend to post more rarely if at all(on these forums at least) if they failed NBDE 2, all the posts I saw pertaining to this topic were in the international dentists sub forums

whats a domestic student? does that mean you are domesticated?
