I just found out that I have failed step 1 with 179/70 and my school withdrew me from the rotation. Do you guys think Falcon review live can help me pass the test with at least 210? What is bothering most is the fact that I won't be able to participate in 2012 match and will be graduating in December 2012 if I complete everything successfully from now on. The falcon review live is claiming to increase students scores on average 20 to 40 pts, because I need a big jump from 179 to at least 210 in hope to be able to compete for IM in 2013 match. Do you guys think with me giving everything that I got, falcon review live can help me achieve this milestone of 210 on 2nd round? What about Kaplan live or Pass program? I will strongly appreciate anybody comment on this issue as I have reached the bottom as MS.

Can you give some us a bit more information? For instance what was your approach to studying for the exam? What resources did you use? How many hours per day did you study and for what period of time?

How far along are you in your medical education? (i.e what year are you?).
Are you an AMG or IMG/FMG?

This will give the folks on the forum a better idea how to advise you.

I'm 3rd year MS in US, though am a borderline student in my school, but I managed to finish my 1st and 2nd year successfully without failing mark.

I went through the whole thing self studying: FA, Goljan audio, DIT and UW qbank. I was studying 10 to 12 hours a day. I did this more than 8 weeks. My last CBSSA test Form 4 put me at 207 and my free practice was 67%, both were a week before the real thing.

one thing i know for sure went wrong was the fact I couldn't sleep the night before. I strongly believe this lack of sleep impacted my performance negatively, otherwise probably I could have been able to pull out 188 on the test day. Now that I have a failing mark on my records, I want to do more than just passing.

I used basically the same approach. I studied for about 8 hours a day for about 6 weeks. I went through UWorld twice, did FA once and listened to the Goljan audio. I also read Goljan RR Path and BRS Physio.

Unfortunately I don't really know much about the Falcon review so I can't really offer any helpful advice there. I agree that lack of sleep could have impacted your score. This exam is a marathon. I got a full night sleep and I still got exhausted by the last two blocks.

The best advice I can give is to focus on your weaknesses in the performance profile of the score report. You should maybe try some relaxation techniques or something so that you don't get nervous the night before the exam. Getting a good night sleep the night before is very important!
