Failing and passing the COMLEX PE before ERAS submission

Anyone have experience or know anyone who took the PE pretty early, failed, took it again, and passed, all before they submitted their residency applications? How do programs look at the F if you ended up passing and have that on your application? Too much to hope that they'll just be like "ah w/e, they passed so who cares". Going for a competitive specialty with good step 1/level 1 scores

Did you ever end up hearing from anyone on what to do? I'm in the exact same boat and I am getting pretty worried.
