Don't think it matters if it's related as long as the experience instilled values of persistence/learning/etc.

Experiences (related or not) -> Values -> Application of values (for us, in medicine)

Just as a heads up, your secondaries dont all have to tie back to medicine. In fact, unless they ask, they shouldnt.
