I have decided to go insane this coming fall semester:

Biochemistry (considering the lab, but its 4 credit, writing intensive :dead:)
A&P 1 (with lab)
Epidemiology
Physics 2 (with lab)

I was planning on taking a 3rd bio course, "Cancer Biology" a new 400 level bio course that will be offered in the fall, but I figured I'll hate my life enough as it is. What do you all think? Is this nightmarish?

Asking if it's too difficult. My advisor seems to think so. But, I won't be able to graduate in the spring if I don't do this.

Well... if it's your only option, you gotta do it, regardless of how much it might suck. No use asking! 🙂

I've seen you post some hellish schedules on here before. Aren't you also taking some crazy classes this summer? And you have kids? You're seriously my hero lol you need to throw some tips this way. I'm overwhelmed taking 2 science classes + labs and 2 non-sci with the kid.

If you have to do it to graduate, go for it. Are you applying this cycle?

If you dont need the biochem lab then def dont take it. Same with Cancer Bio. A high GPA with less credits always is better than a semester full of impressive courses but not as high GPA.

3 upper lv bios and physics for 16 credits. Whether or not this is will be nightmarish for you depends on what your GPA is, the grades you want and the grading structure/rubric for each course. If biochem and Epidemiology courses only grade you on your exam performance (meaning no HW or anything except maybe class participation), like they do in my school, then these 2 classes, individually, wont be too awful. Anatomy with lab will eat up more time than any other class. Physics 2 is easier than physics 1, theres more theory and less math, if you did well in 1 you should be able to do well in 2.

Even under the best circumstances for the way each class assigns grades, youll still have to prepare for exams weeks in advance if you have any hope of getting anywhere near 4.0.

As for what I personally think: challenging but still doable.

My course load this semester isnt exactly nightmarish but it is approaching it. 21 credits, 2 upper bio, 1 upper chem (my favorite class but also a huge pain in my behind), 3 other low/intro level sci courses and 1cred sci course. 7 classes total, and Im also doing research (which Im barely keeping up with). I was forced to P/NC one of my intro sci courses a few days ago , despite consistently scoring top in class, I became aware of why a class with 100 total seats only had 20 students enrolled in it, highest grade he gave in 2 yrs was an "A-" and that was to only 1 person. So technically I now have 18 creds, I feel much lighter now.

you can take apt this summer.

just do it...it's not that bad...and biochemistry is not a super hard subject. You will just need to manage your time wisely. Think of it as a glimpse into graduate school...as practice.

Ouch that might be tough. However, I would much rather taking Physics 2 with Biochem than Physics 1 with Biochem. I would try and either cut the Physics or the Epi. Anything you can replace it with? Also, A and P is cake so that's good.
