Hey guys! Does anyone know how much emphasis is put on fall and winter transcripts sent in after applying? Are they just to make sure you pass everything or are they calculating GPAs?

It is my understanding that the submission of a fall transcript that reflects well on the applicant can decide whether they receive an interview or not.

Some don't require them unless you've been accepted (like Cornell), but I know LSU doesn't calculate your last 45 hours GPA until your fall grades are in. I suspect that in most cases spring transcripts are just to make sure you pass everything, but that's pure speculation on my part.

I only know about the schools i've applied to and here's what i've found.

Cornell: no fall transcript
Ohio: no fall transcripts
Minnesota: no fall transcripts
Penn: YES they require fall transcripts
Tufts: YES they require fall transcripts

all school require final transcripts to be sent, and i think you just have to get a C or better in require classes to still have a spot (for most schools).
You should check all school websites, and if you don't see anything you should email or call (everyone is really nice and happy to clarify!)
