Hey all you third year residents, I was wondering what kinds of job offers you have gotten in the past few months. Location, call, pay, benefits, etc. Just curious as to what the job market is looking like ...

bump...come on, the job market can't be that bad...no need to post your job offer just other ones you may have heard about.

These are a year old now, but I don't think things have changed much.

1. 170K salary + benefits, call by phone Q5 no weekends, metro southeast, no hospital no ob

2. 128K salary + excellent benefits, academic faculty, Q12 resident filtered call

3. 170K guarantee +production + 30K signing bonus, Q5 call, hospital but no OB, rural south east

4. 200K (NZ) + health care, housing, car, varied call, no hospital, rural New Zealand

5. 200K guarantee + production + 30K signing bonus, Q4 call, +hospital, +OB
rural south

6. 75K salary -25K buy in, equity partner after one year, then production

7. 150K guarantee + 20K signing bonus, Q4 call, hospital, no ob rural southeast

8. 100$/hour no benefits, suburban/rural ER midatlantic

9. 145K salary +benefits suburban outpatient midatlantic

10. 275K guarantee, ob, er, hospital, Q3 call, very busy rural south east

I interviewed at most, some were through recruiters, some through my own effort. Two are jobs friends have recently taken. I was pretty flexible about location and willing to go rural. Some friends have fared a little better, some a little worse.

Hope this helps and good luck.

wonderful...that was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for taking the time to post that.

Keep 'em coming!

I can't find a job that I like or that likes me. Perhaps I am just commitment phobic. :scared:
