I'll be starting my first clinical rotation soon, which is Family Practice. I was just wondering what the rotation entails of? I know every location will be different in their own ways but I'd just like an idea of what to expect since I'm clueless to what I'll be doing all day.

Is it mainly like in office setting in some type of clinic and no working in the hospital? And is it usually normal working hours from 8am-5pm? What kind of stuff will I be doing on a daily basis? Any extra info you want to add in will be appreciated. Thanks

May vary some by location, but ours was completely outpatient based. Go in, see the patient first then come out and present, then go back in with the consultant for the final word. Dont worry too much about it. That is a good rotation to start with as it is somewhat low key compared to the others.

all outpatient, low-key. becomes very boring for many students. have fun! it should be easy and I hope your school doesn't make you take call.
