Hello

Just wondering if any one can help me with a question on famotidine. Is there any adverse effects if taking famotidine while NOT having any heart burn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and for the prevention of these symptoms brought on by consuming food and beverages.

Reason I'm asking is I'm taking it for another reason. I take about 80mg of famotidine maybe about 2 times a month. I've done some research can doesages can be taking up to 800mg everyday for one year with no side effects, this is of course for a patent. I can only think of maybe some absorption problems on that day for minerals\ vitamins due to low stomach acid, but other than that i can not find any other reasons why this would be bad. can anyone out htere confirm it's ok to take famotidine? thanks

I may be wrong, but I think they might close this thread because it's "medical advice" which isn't allowed...

This is true. The forums here are not places for medical advice. There are other resources that supply this service. Closing...
