Hi everyone!
I just read in another thread that FAMU has a 0-6 program, which right now obviously is too late for me to join. Someone mentioned that they do accept transfers to this program to complete the last four years of the 0-6 at their school. For me, the FAMU website isn't working right now so I cannot look it up. Could any of you give me a description of this and how it works? Thanks!

My husband did his last four years there. When the website is up, look up the pre-reqs, you need to complete those and do their application if you want to do the last four years there. He said there was some classes he had to take in pharmacy school that the 0-6 students already took, but it wasn't bad and there were about 40 that did the 0-6 and the other 60ish were transfers.

my problem is: i only have 4 more classes until i finish all my pre-reqs, should I apply now for the fall 2011?

ah, thx!
so.. what r FAMU looking for since they don't need PCAT? Do they only accept very few transfer student?

Like I said 60 of the 100 person class were there for the last four years, I would say most of those were transfers.

They ask for prereqs, LORs, essays etc.. All the stuff most colleges ask for minus the PCAT...

Wait, would this be the same thing as finishing my AA then going to any other pharmacy school? For some reason I was under the impression this "transferring to the last 4 years" was different, but now I feel like it's just like applying to UF or NOVA at the normal time.

Yes, it would be like applying to NOVA or UF. That is what my husband did, got his AA and pre-reqs done and applied. The only difference is no PCAT and no PharmCAS (the only reason that can be a problem is it feels like double the work if you are applying to any other schools that use PharmCAS).
