hey, thanks!! I hope so too. the interview was not too bad. They were really nice. Now the waiting game begin :scared:

I think sometime around the 15th or the 16th, they will send letters to all of us. Good luck!
 
Shouldn't be too long from now and you guys will be receiving your letters =-0! I can't wait to see who gets accepted and look forward to meeting you guys next year.

Well, From what I heard they told the applicants that they would hear something April 15th. So I'm pretty sure that means that mail will be sent out on the 15th. So probably Saturday and you'll hear something.

I have not reveiced anything either. I called the Office of student service on the 15th and they told me that letters will be mailed out friday (17th). It shouldn't be too long now.

Not to discourage you, but that probably means they will be mailed out maybe the 20th. I'm sure everyone will hear something by next week.
 
i am in Tallahassee and i go to the local community college and i would like to go to FAMU pharmacy school. does anyone know what i should do to increase my chances on getting in?

High GPA, a lot of community service, pharmacy experience can't hurt, and just make sure you nail your interview.

thank you, so far i have a 3.3GPA ( messed up at the start of college) i am a CPhT and i just got a job at the local hospital, i have an internship with a pharmacist in the near by county and i am chairmen of a health care group at my college. i just want to know how i can increase my chances because i will be trying to transfer into FAMU program and i heard it is even harder to get in that way. is it true? I really want to be a pharmacist and i want to do anything in my power to do so.:scared:

Yes, it is quite hard to get into the program as a transfer student. So far it sounds like you are doing what you need to do to get in. Sounds pretty good to me. Two of my very good friends got in as transfers after being waitlisted with 3.85 GPA. But i don't believe either of them had any type of extracurricular activities prior to their A.A. degrees.
 
I'm so disappointed ... FAMU letter wasn't not there ..in my mailbox.🙁 ....

I am too. I still have not received mine. Maybe tomorrow it'll come. Be patient and stay positive.
 
Just so you guys know, the 0-6 students here at FAMU started receiving their acceptance letters today. So it shouldn't be long for anyone.

did you really get into FAMU pharmacy school? also are you a transfer student? what is your stats? i was just wondering because i would like to transfer to famu school asap. and i just wonder how do i measure up.
 
Letters were postmarked the 21st so should be any day now. After a HORRIBLE interview, yes horrible enough for caps bold italics and underlined, the school was still a fan of me (I got in as a USF transfer). Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting. Ill see whoever gets in during orientation or the fall.

alot of money applying to alot of school, but FAMU was/is my #1 choice👍

I got accepted to FAMU also!!!!!! I am a transfer...Just got my letter today! I feel so blessed!! Anybody else accepted??? Can't wait to meet you all at orientation on Aug 17th!!🙂🙂🙂

Thanks a lot...I'm sure you know what it felt like ..in the past weeks......now i can stay focused to study for my exams next week...well..my sister is up there 2 ...we probably move out..to another place..i will let you know if..anything is good...

It's a HBCU. High percentage of first time passage rate on NAPLEX. Great research opportunities, and an array of other things. Just keep your grades up, get pharmacy related experience, devote time to serving your community, apply on time, write a solid personal statement, nail your interview and you will be fine. I know it sounds like a lot but trust me, if I can do it, then anyone else can. Best of luck to you.
