Damn, dude, that's inspiring!Sorry, but as someone who was homeless in college and had to drain my years of savings to afford travel fees and interview attire, it's pretty hard to generate sympathy for those of you who grew up without ever worrying about being able to pay rent/afford groceries sit here and complain about being cut off from your parents (finally).
Lol?Does anyone know the CEO's email address?
AAMC provides overall exceptional services and centralizes an otherwise very cumbersome and pain-staking process (albeit at a seemingly overpriced for some); I would not want their de facto monopoly broken apart and don't believe they're "doing whatever they want." I'm sure there's some logic behind their current setup. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and learn to live within your institutions...AMCAS is corrupt. Why are we forced to use their website for applications? Surely there must be a way around this. There needs to be a legislation for this; we can't just let this multi-million dollar company do whatever it wants because they know they're in complete control. I mean isn't that even against the law? A monopoly?
I could write a hundred angry letters and emails to AMCAS and they'll reply back with a giant "lol".
Have you seen their swanky ass office? My friend has told me its in one of the most expensive areas to buy commercial properties. If it's a non-profit then why aren't they doing a better job services those who can't afford to apply? The amount per application is ridiculous, and frankly, it's all computerized. They can do a better job, offer cheaper services.AAMC provides overall exceptional services and centralizes an otherwise very cumbersome and pain-staking process (albeit at a seemingly overpriced for some); I would not want their de facto monopoly broken apart and don't believe they're "doing whatever they want." Also, AAMC is classified as a non-profit organization. Anti-trust ("monopoly") laws generally haven't applied to non-profits, with a few notable exceptions.
...and they said Paralegal Studies would be useless as a pre-med 😉
