What are you asking?
Are you a dependent or do you have dependents?
Are you considered independent? If so, I don't think your parents income applies. I could be wrong though.

I wasn't quite sure what that meant either. The FAP application seemed really unclear and disorganized to me. The instructions pop-up window also took me to a 'Page not Found" link, so ...

I e-mailed them several hours ago to clear up some questions, including what they deem as public assistance, so I'll let you guys know when/if I hear back.

I was unable to find any further clarification either. I was hoping Google or SDN could help because I emailed them last night referring to a question I had about the req documents that need to be sent and I haven't heard back regarding that.
Please do let us know when/if you hear back. I don't want to submit anything incorrectly and be denied because of a mistake.

I'm pretty sure public assistance is if you get welfare (like food stamps and such)

Just wanted to confirm. I received a message back from FAP a week later, and public assistance does regard to food stamps and the like.
