fast track programs?

Hi,

What are the programs that you can fast track into allergy and that you know aobut it before you put on the rank list? i know some schools lets u fast trak once u've applied into/matched at program, but was wondering if there were any schools were by listing the school, u've automatically been applying for one of the fast tracks. thanks.

Hard question to answer, but I've tried to answer the best I can here:

I don't know specifically about allergy. I think that if the residency director lets you fast track when you get in, you're going to get your fellowship of choice no matter what it is.

I would look at Northwetern if I were you as they have a great physician-scientist program and they are very strong in allergy/immunology. You can specify your interest in the program when applying and fill out a supplementary application. They will let you know prior to submitting your rank list whether or not you will be placed in the physician-scientist program if you match at Northwestern. Many other academic programs have a similar fast-track research pathway available.
